michigan ufo

While in northern Michagan, in the summer on 2004. I was out at night, driving to a customers city for the next days sales appoinments. At a stop sign I looked up and saw bright object far off and to my left, in in the distance in the night sky. In a blink of an eye it zoomed to the right of my sight and disappeared. It was a streak of light as it zipped from it's orginal position to the new one and was then just gone.
Taking into account the distance the object was from me in the night sky, it had to have been something that could have went frmo a stationary postion to full speed and to it's destination postion in what seemed like a single second. Not only that, but with all things considered, it had to have traveled over 50 miles from point A to point B.
I do believe there are strange things in the night sky.
